Beschreibung
Zichner Blues (Neuheit Tuba) Although fully notated, Zichner Blues keeps all the spirit of the blues and jazz traditions. The score provides the musical framework, while brief fills — those short phrases that connect one idea to the next — give performers the freedom to bring in their own personality. Conceived as responses to the musical conversation rather than as solos, they should stay natural, spontaneous and stylistically true, supporting the ensemble without ever stealing the spotlight. The work celebrates the rhythmic vitality, flexibility and conversational nature of the blues. Here, a simple idea played with confidence counts for more than a complex passage: each performance reflects the personality of the players while remaining faithful to the groove, the style and the quartet's sound.
