The Trombone According To Hoyle ( With more than a passing reference to the card games of Hoyle, Eddie Bass has composed this 8 movement work for solo tenor trombone. Each movement is influenced by an aspect of card play, for example, Aces High, Royal Flush and Wild Card (tempo di nascar). The work was specially composed for Don Lucas, Associate Professor of Music, Trombone. Chairman of Brass, Woodwind, & Percussion at Boston University College of Fine Arts. Both challeging and humourous this work is ideal for a solo trombone recital either in its entirety or in individual movements.)
