Nocturno op.7 Nocturno, Op. 7 is one of several works for Horn that Franz Strauss wrote for himself to perform as soloist with various orchestras during his long and illustrious career. The overriding feeling of this work is the beauty of tone and lyricism. It is in an ABA form and works particularly well for Horn in F with a range to high A-flat. Benjamin Coy has beautifully arranged this glorious work of 6 minutes in length for Horn Solo and Orchestra.
