Menaces de lArc (clarinet, french horn and piano) (Neuheit Horn) This piece for clarinet, horn and piano invokes the modal lyricism of ancestral times in its singularity, the acoustic spirit of each instrument. The harmony is spread out, marked by large resonating spaces, where the mechanical movement of a minimalist and obsessive counterpoint is set into motion. All this in a structural segment, a symbolic arch, where ones individual imagination is free to fix its temporal aspirations. This structure inevitably closes down into itself, the end is programmed, like a foreseeable pain, despite the fact that it is not heralded by a particular musical event.
