Polonaise from Christmas Eve Product Description Polonaise from Christmas Eve was arranged for the Brass of the Netherlands Philharmonic. (Nedpho Brass) Christmas Eve, is an opera in four acts with music and libretto by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Rimsky-Korsakov compiled a suite of pieces from the opera a few years later. The opera itself features supernatural elements that seem better suited to Halloween than Christmas. In the 3rd act, a chorus sings the tsaritsa’s praises in a magnificent polonaise.
