Brass Outings (Ewazen: Grand Valley Fanfare; Tallis: If Ye Love Me; Prevein: Four Outings for Brass; Monteverdi: Three Madrigals; Cheetham: Scherzo; Tilson: Street Songs; Arnold: Quintet No.1+2; Vaughan Williams: Lomond) notes (The Gaudete Brass has been sharing the great brass quintet literature with audiences in an exciting and relevant way since 2004. They have been featured on a number of prominent concert series, including the Fourth Presbyterian Noon Concert Series in Chicago, Fine Arts at First at the First United Methodist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Concerts on 3 in Northbrook, Illinois. The quintet is the artist-in-residence at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington. They were the guest artists at the Freedom Celebration at the Northland Family Camp in Dunbar, Wisconsin. Sought after as teachers as well as performers, the group has presented clinics at several colleges and universities, including Vanderbilt University, Lincoln Memorial University, the University of Alabama, Furman University, Western Carolina University, Eastern Illinois University, and the University of Notre Dame. They have also performed on live radio broadcasts on the “Live in Studio C” program on Nashville Public Radio and the 21st Century Classical Program on WSME in Milwaukee. They have collaborated with many accomplished organists on numerous organ and brass programs.
