A New Dawn (000.23) The twenty-first century has seen some very tough challenges: Covid-19, social unrest, economic hardships, and political turmoil testing the basic tenets of democracy. Yet there is still cause for optimism: the prospect of a vaccine and fair elections mean that a new day is dawning as people everywhere work together to overcome these obstacles. Lynn Blake John was born in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree in Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She studied composition with Peter Williams, professor of music at the University of Wales in Swansea, and music theory at the Guildhall in London.
