Complete Chorale Harmonisations - Vol.1 (Chorales 1-145) Robert Timmers has beautifully arranged Johann Sebastian Bachs Complete Chorale Harmonizations for Trombone Quartet, Volume I (Chorales 1-145). This momentous collection of 434 Chorales in three volumes (the remaining two volumes are soon to be published) taken from Bachs 200-plus cantatas and other choral works is a gift to the Trombone world and a major addition to the repertoire of Trombone Ensembles. This collection is the first of its kind for the instrument. The music is laid out in score format of two systems (tenor and bass) and two coil-bound books of 72 pages are provided for the performers. Appropriate for moderately advanced performers, these chorales are great for working on tonal blend, intonation, style, and phrasing. The digital sound sample below of Chorales 1-5 will give you a good idea of the beauty of these arrangements for the Trombone. This collection has been dedicated to the late Steve Witser by his former student, and arranger, Robert Timmers.
