Hungarian Dance No.6 (111) (Johannes Brahms is known for his serious, complex, large works, however some of his most cherished compositions are the small scale ones that became popular immediately. The Hungarian Dance No. 6 is lively, seductive and full of mischief. The contrasting tempos and stop-start rhythms are the most notable parts of the work. Mike Wall, former Horn player with the Vancouver Symphony has written a great transcription for advanced performers. Instrumentation is for Trumpet in B-flat, Horn and Trombone.)
