Skaters Waltz (424.01.Pk.Perc) (Waldteufel composed his beautiful Skaters Waltz in 1882, having been inspired by the "Cercle des Patineurs" or Rink of Skaters at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The wonderfully orchestrated work is especially graceful, invoking scenes of winter and skaters falling to the ice. Angus Armstrongs very fine 8 minute arrangement is suitable for advanced performers and is scored for: Piccolo Trumpet in B-flat, C Trumpet & 2 Trumpets in B-flat 2 Horns, 3 Trombones, Bass Trombone, Tuba Timpani and Percussion.
