October Sunshine An emotionally upbeat solo vehicle for Flugelhorn, featuring a gentle Latin rhythm. October Sunshine was written when Allan was on tour in the south of Germany with Ali Haurands European Jazz Ensemble, of which he is a founding member. The jazz group played in Selb, the capital of the famous "Porcelain Route" of factories of fine china. They caught the attention of the manager of the renowned "Rosenthal" manufacturers who happened to be a jazz aficionado and had brought the group to the town, situated in a beautiful Bavarian landscape. They enjoyed a sunny autumn afternool before the concert and Allan wrote this tune before going on stage. 14 piece brass ensemble 4 Trumpets in Bb 4 Flugelhorns in Bb 3 Trombones 1 Bass Trombone 2 Tubas
